Once again we find ourselves with a mountain to climb on the lead up to another massive game in the season. A £30-£40million game depending on reports. With the games and trials and dramas coming fast this early in the season it’s time for bears in Brugge to set the tone for the season.
There’s a potential further war chest available to move to promised land of champions league proper, the glitz and the glamour the big league. In order to get there we once again find ourselves having to do it by coming from behind after last weeks mental explosion for 20 minutes. However is it all over?
In short the answer is no, with pedigree and experience within the team who done unthinkable things in Europe and punched upwards for season after season there’s a chance to write a new chapter in the history books. At times the new look team have played some nice football such as against Plezin in the last round at home, arguably putting a stronger panathinkos team out in the first round of qualifying.
You feel like with players departing and time together the new team now need to kick off a season defining couple of weeks with Champions league qualifications, an old firm on the horizon along with games against the tricky Edinburgh teams. This a time to lay a real glove on the season or will our bears in Brugge leave with more questions about mentality.
On Wednesday night by 10pm we will know how the team have defined themselves for the season ahead - will we see Deja vu? Or a case of what’s new including attitude.
Well our bears in Brugge the floor is yours
